My day at the mall

As you know, we had planned to go visit the YoungOne this last home-time to help celebrate her graduation. In the end, because we had so little time at home this month, Stace wasn’t able to go since she stayed home and kept working on all the things that have to be done to get ready to head back out on the road for a month. I got to spend the day with them though, and had a really good time. Found out after I got there that the YoungOne did get the internship position that she had been hoping for so we ended up having even more to celebrate. She is really doing well.

I went shopping with her for her school supplies so I figured i’d stop by and get her clothes too. We ended up spending so much time picking out things for her school though the main missions was lost! The only thing that she kept talking about was how she would be so happy letting the other kids see her with her new parkers, colored pencils, new whiteboard for her teacher that we had planned as a gift. We got the whiteboard from writey since we heard so many good things about them, we couldnt pass them up when we saw one on sale!

The YoungOne seemed really happy with the graduation present we had decided on and shopped the hell out of that mall. She ended up getting a lot of really nice stuff that looked great and left the mall tired but happy and quite fashionable. Then it was on to the shoe store where she picked up several pairs of really cute shoes to top the whole thing off. I think she is going to look great at the office.

Since shopping tends to give me hives after a very short period of time, I mostly entertained the LittleOne so her Mom would have some quality free-mom-time to shop. It wasn’t exactly a burden… I mean seriously… look at that little face…

So cute – should be against the rules.

Happy days, glad to hear she is doing well. Regards to Stace.

Love the first photo and love the last one. And those freakin’ curls! I am so jealous. Can you be jealous of a person under the age of five?

Glad you had fun. I’m not too fond of shopping either, but shopping AND babysitting??? OMG, I’d be it the hospital right now.

Good luck to the YoungOne!! She’ll be in my thoughts.

Beautiful portrait of the Little One. Really beguiling. She’s got a lot of personality.

Great present for the Young One, and hope her internship is everything she hopes it will be. So glad to hear of some changes for the better. Always welcome.

I love the curls, too. I’m hoping Hedon will print out the first one so we can frame it. It was a particularly great shot.
