Stace....I agree about Ellen Burstyn's performace. And I can see your point. The movie was just a little too manic for me.

Gabby...ooooh! I loved Amelie. It's on my list of "favorite movies" and if I hadn't put Milk on this list, Amelie would have probably taken its place (charming).

Rassles...I might have seen the whole thing, but honestly I can't remember....that's how horrible I think The Big Lebowski is. Actually, I hate all Coen brother's movies...they just aren't my type of flick. And if my boyfriend says "Dude" one more time, I think I might push him out of the truck.

To each his own and all that....

I'm glad you enjoy listing things. I really, really, truly feel that you can just tell so much about a person based on their top ten. Top ten anything, really. Half the fun is talking about it in person and watching people think. It's like the best conversation starter ever.

Nice list, by the way.

So I'm going to give you guys my top ten, even though I feel like I've been posting it everywhere lately, and I don't care, because I love these movies. More than all the other movies ever. Ever. Except...no, no. Fuck it. I have to remind myself that the list is subject to change, but it means I have to take one off, and I just can't bear to do it.

Diner
Die Hard
Princess Bride
Big Lebowski (Salena: do you not love it? Crazy?)
Paper Moon
Philadelphia Story
Goonies
Star Wars (I'm picking Empire, because I think I watch that one the most.)
LA Confidential
The Good the Bad and the Ugly

pssst: What the hell is wrong with Police Academy 5?

Oh, what fun! Had to think on this a couple of days to narrow it down. In no particular order
1. Amelie--quirky and such rich saturated colors
2. Smilla's Sense of Snow-gorgeous colors again and the oh so beautiful Gabriel Byrne
3. The Commitments-Awesome music
4. The Perfect Storm-like Chaos, I bawl like a baby every time I watch it
5. Brotherhood of the Wolf--horror done right
6. Shaun of the Dead--Well, pretty much anything with Simon Pegg
7. The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
8. Wallace and Gromit anything--animation does count, doesn't it? :)
9. Immortal and The Fifth Element--I will watch anything sci-fi but these are among my faves
10. Blade and Dusk til Dawn-- among the best vampire movies IMO

Kind of cheated on #9 and 10 :)

Ok, so I've decided I missed one. I just watched The Perfect Storm again, and realized that it also belongs on my top 10 list. Brings me to tears every time. Also, for anyone who likes that sort of movie, you might try watching Deadliest Catch. I love that show! (It also brings me to tears sometimes. Lol.) Anyway, *sniff* back to the movie watching. : )
