Screwing everything up
2009 July 5
Just a quick post to let y’all know that we’re upgrading our WordPress version and switching to a new theme. It’s probably going to be a mess around here — I mean more than usual even. Please reduce your speed through the construction zone. Better yet chose an alternate route.

I know you are just trying to get some time to go play video games and let Maggie redesign the site.
Wow, that was FAST! I like this – nice and bright. Cheerful, even.
Eek! This is …. unusual…. it doesn’t seem very … you… Mom.
Oh come now you two… you have to know we’re not going to leave it all happy-looking like this!
We haven’t even started to adjust and customize yet. Expect dark and brooding momentarily.
Just saying “Hello” and adding you girls (and Maggy) to blogspot, I’m tired of being the Anonymous “L” person
umm good luck with the new design, I know you can do it … but I can barely navigate a simpler level of blogging and it’s kicking my butt.
Well we’re happy you’re coming out, L. As you know, we’re not big fans of closets.
As for the new design… ugh… it’s all different so I’m basically starting from scratch on the code front. But I think it will be worth it cause when I’m done the site should load much faster and be more sleek. That’s the plan anyway…
NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! Very cool! Nice new digs!
Yeah… ….. well… really that’s all I have to say is “yeah” …. good luck Mom!
Ya know, you weren’t joking when you said you were screwing everything up! I can’t find anything anymore. I hope you guys pick your new gloomy layout and such soon, so I can get the pictures of Kiddo. And yes, I know I had all this time before now to get them, but … you know me. : ) Ok.. going blind now from the much too bright and cheery backgrounds. Laterz.
Nice! And honestly? I could obsess on theme changes. I have myself self on a once every 6 months restriction.
Hedon: good luck with the site update, and please save the Belledog blog site. Just finishing up trucking school and have LOTS to say. Truck School Confidential coming soon. A learning experience all around.
(Learning so far does not include figuring out how to update the Belledog blog, but I will settle for a series of good dock backing experiences — still acquiring my parking skills, long after I should be polishing them.)
PS: think Hags blog should have links to some of your greatest hits. I loved the Maggie guilty or not pieces from a few months back. And the going Galt stuff. And boobery at the Baltimore [?] dock. (Honestly, have missed too many of your posts recently. Looking forward to next week and having some time to catch up.)
Anybody have any votes for other “that needs a link” posts by Hedon or Stace?
I’m not sure about favorites yet, but I think that the Fernando Saga needs to be updated to include all stories about the mice, too. : )
And the Hags crib feature! And then challenge Decorina and Salena to reciprocate. Maybe decorating advice from both …
Chaos: good luck with the internship. Hope all is going swimmingly.
Thank you Belledog! I hope you guys got home ok Mom. Will call you tomorrow probably. The LittleOne says hi. … maybe I will call you tonight. Love ya!
Whew! At least you got rid of the cheerful pics. Just wasn’t hag enough. And please, I beg you, no more grey. My old eyes can’t take it – too hard to read (though nothing, really, can stop me from checking in every day).
Decorina,
Where are you getting grey? There shouldn’t be any grey to have to read through except for in alternating comments… and I’m getting ready to make the text bigger there which should help I hope.
I hate when it’s hard to read a blog. If I read a blog with reversed text it’s because I REALLY SERIOUSLY like what that person has to say. Which is a shame because my natural design inclination and preference is toward a dark background with light text etc.
Too funny! of course it had to be grey. At least its not all white and cheery now. : )
Hey Kid. Where is the grey?
Its grey around the edges on my screen. (Its wide screen though.)
sent you an email with a picture of my screen so you can see. : )
